Psychosocial Research and Intervention Group (GRIP)

Written on

Fierté Montréal Festival collaborates with the GRIP in preparation of the festival and on its main site.

The Psychosocial Research and Intervention Group (GRIP) provides a series of training sessions on the effects of substance overdoses for the security personnel working on the Olympic Park's Esplanade, so they can offer psychosocial support related to the use of alcohol or drugs.

The Group also distributes Naloxone kits and safe drinking materials, and offers substance analysis services during the festival.

About GRIP

The GRIP is an organization that acts in harm reduction and prevention to inform and intervene in festive environments, promoting a positive experience for all populations attending festive environments, both popular and underground, by offering local services and support in the Montréal region and across Québec.
